Concert photos of Vanessa-Mae

Gallery 4 contains photos that were made during the Storm On World Tour, Madison Avenue, Leicester Square, Moscow

On November 23 of 1997, Vanessa-Mae acted in an open air concert at Madison avenue in new York to highlight the opening of the new Shanghai Tang boutique of fashion icon David Tang. The 2 photos below show her at this event. Vanessa-Mae had her hair in a pony tail on her back while she was comfortable wearing a long crimson red coat with decorations of Chinese figures. The colour crimson red of the coat was also used for Vanessa-Mae's lipstick that served as striking mark in her face that was done with heavy make-up. Vanessa-Mae's coat was designed by David Tang and Vanessa-Mae used it a lot during her Storm On World Tour appearances - see the Storm On World Tour documentary.

On January 28 of 1998, on Chinese New year, Vanessa-Mae performed a free open air concert on Leicester Square to highlight the celebrations and to promote the release of her new album China Girl. At the concert, Vanessa-Mae used her crimson coat - see photos on the top line - over a Chinese style short red dress with short sleeves - see photos on the bottom line. Vanessa-Mae had a wig and her face looked, of course, heavily made up: look at Vanessa-Mae's flawless complexion with full covering crème, lipstick in matching red to her long coat, and the eye brows perfectly shaped with a black pencil on top of her foundation base, and her eyes that are defined with small line of dark shadow, mascara and liner.

Storm on World Tour in Moscow, Kremlin Palace on May 2, 1998.
Vanessa-Mae gave a concert in Moscow, Russia, at the Kremlin Palace on May 2 of 1998. The photo below shows her at this concert. She was dressed rather casual in a shining flannel pair of trousers and a simple black T-shirt. A nice crucifix pendant dangled on a tiny necklace visible on her chest. For some reason, Vanessa-Mae was hardly made up for this concert.

The photos below were made on April 3 of 1998 and show Vanessa-Mae when she performed a special concert at Buckingham Palace. She was honoured with a prestigious invitation to play as special invited guest for 23 heads of state, including Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II, at the closing ceremonial dinner evening of the ASEM II conference. At her performance, Vanessa-Mae used a shining golden dress and she was heavily made up - look at the dolled up eyes in the 2nd photo.

On June 25 in 1998, Vanessa-Mae performed a sold out concert for her Storm On World Tour in the Philharmonie venue of Munich. The four photos of Vanessa-Mae  below were made during this concert. To the far left, Vanessa-Mae playing The Blessed Spirits when she entered the concert hall at the start of the show. She wears a long silk coat with Chinese motives design. Later, she took off the coat, now wearing a red short satin skirt and a white satin sleeveless shirt, see the two photos in the middle. The last photo, portrays Vanessa-Mae dancing during I Feel Love. Do note  in the second photo how smooth and flawless, Vanessa-Mae's perfect complexion of covering crème is.

The 3 photos of Vanessa-Mae below were made in 1997 or 1998 during a concert of the Storm On World Tour - we have no knowledge about the exact venue and date, though! At this concert, Vanessa-Mae was in a wonderful silk long dress with panther print design. Obviously, Vanessa-Mae was heavily made up at this concert, look at the strongly accentuated brows and her eyes in a complete smooth complexioned visage.
