Photo gallery 1 contains photos that we made ourselves during the concerts of Vanessa-Mae that we visited over the years. Till now, we attended 8 concerts but we were able to shot photos on 6 occasions. By clicking the thumbnails, a large scale image will open in a new window.

The 27 photos bellow were made during Vanessa-Mae's concert at the annual liveatsunset festival in Zurich on July 27, 2001- see Vanessa-Mae live@sunset July 2001 for our review.

We made the 13 photos below at Vanessa-Mae's 'Tour For Change' concert in Berlin on December 7, 2001. Vanessa-Mae used different outfits before and after the break, and she was heavily made up during the concert. Our review on the concert can be found at Vanessa-Mae live in Berlin 2001.

The following 14 photos were made during Vanessa-Mae's 'Choreography' tour concert in the Royal Festival Hall, London October 21, 2004. Mark the overwhelming use of pink, red to purple and blue colours in Vanessa-Mae's clothes and heavy make-up. After the concert, Vanessa-Mae engaged in a signing session in the main entrance hall. For this event, Vanessa-Mae had changed outfit to a rather casual short cotton dress with horizontal white-blue stripped pattern, but she had the same heavy make-up still prominent visible covering her face. The following 45 photos were made during Vanessa-Mae's concert for the Choreography tour in the Kulturpalast of Dresden on February 8, 2005. Vanessa-Mae used the same outfit as for her Royal Festival Hall concert in 2004 and also her make-up was in the same style - see photos above. The 24 photos below were made during Vanessa-Mae's concert for the Choreography tour in Hamburg on July 2, 2007. For this concert, Vanessa-Mae used a fantastic long red silk dress and she was on spike heeled open shoes. Vanessa-Mae's face was, of course, with a heavy make-up, see our review at Review Vanessa-Mae live in concert, Hamburg 2007.

In the summer of 2009, Vanessa-Mae participated in the series of concert that are organised each year by the British Forestry Commission various parks and woods throughout the UK. On July 18 of 2009, Vanessa-Mae performed an open air concert at the Arboretum of Westonbirt. She was accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Anthony Inglis, and The All Angels served as support act. We wrote an extensive review on Vanessa-Mae live at the Westonbirt Arboretum and the photos below are also incorporated there. Vanessa-Mae appeared on stage wearing a spectacular knee length crème to silver shining dress with lots of sparkling beads and ornaments embroidered on the flimsy garment. The dress had no sleeves, but strings from the shoulder part were tied to Vanessa-Mae's arm at her elbows with strings bowed. Vanessa-Mae's hair was specially styled, strongly pulled away from her face, divided in 3 parts: in the middle tied in a tail hanging on her back, and from the left and right side of her head tied together in tight strings. Because Vanessa-Mae's hair was strongly pulled out of her face, it was obvious, looking through a 300 zoom, that she was heavily made up: matt toned smooth flawless complexion with crème and powder with only a light touch of bronze blush high on the cheek bones, pinkish red lipstick, a small line of dark shadow on her upper lids that was fading towards the eye brows, and lashes so accentuated with mascara that they threw shadows underneath the eyes by the incidence of the spot lights. The 4 photos below show details of Vanessa-Mae's dress, hair style, and make-up, especially when zooming in; at least, the original full sized photos (app. 4-5 Mb) reveal these details well.
